Cookie Policy
Effective October 14, 2026
This page explains the cookies and similar technologies used on appealsone.com, which is operated by Appeals One, Inc. It lists only what the site actually uses.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, keep data in your browser in much the same way. Some are strictly necessary for a site to work or stay secure. Others are used for analytics or advertising.
What this site uses
AppealsOne sets no cookies of its own. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking tools. The only thing we store in your browser is a note that you closed our cookie notice, kept in local storage so the notice stays closed.
The only cookies come from hCaptcha, the bot protection on our forms. hCaptcha loads only when you open a form or start filling one in, so pages you simply read set no cookies at all.
| Name and provider | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| appealsone-cookie-notice AppealsOne (local storage) | Remembers that you closed the cookie notice | Necessary | Until you clear your browser data |
| hmt_id hCaptcha (api.hcaptcha.com) | Helps hCaptcha tell people from bots on our forms | Necessary | 30 days |
| __cf_bm hCaptcha (hcaptcha.com) | Bot management for hCaptcha's own service | Necessary | 30 minutes |
| __cflb hCaptcha (api.hcaptcha.com) | Routes requests to hCaptcha's servers (load balancing) | Necessary | 30 minutes |
hCaptcha may change the cookies it uses. If it does, we will update this table. You can read how hCaptcha handles data in its own privacy policy, linked from the hCaptcha widget on each form.
How to control cookies
Every major browser lets you see, block, and delete cookies, usually under Settings, then Privacy or Security. You can block third-party cookies entirely or only for certain sites. If you block hCaptcha's cookies, our forms may ask you to solve a challenge more often or may not submit. In that case, email us at the address shown on the form instead.
Changes
If the site starts using new cookies, we will update this page and its effective date first. If we ever add analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for your consent before they load.
